01 / Services

Three ways we work with clients

Most engagements begin with one of these and grow into the others. The same small senior team stays on your project from the first call to the day it runs in production.

01

Software Development

Custom web applications, internal tools and integrations, built to be handed over and maintained by your team.

We start from the workflow that is currently costing you time, not from a template. You get a working product in production, a test suite, deployment automation and documentation that lets somebody else pick it up.

  • Discovery, technical specification and a delivery plan
  • Web apps, dashboards and internal tooling
  • APIs, third-party integrations and data migration
  • Automated tests, CI/CD and infrastructure as code
  • Documentation, handover and team training

02

Software as a Service

We do not stop at the handover. We run, monitor, update and support the software on our own infrastructure.

Monthly subscription software means somebody is accountable when the server goes down at 2am. Namaa Group operates the platform, keeps it patched, watches the metrics and adds improvements as part of the service.

  • Hosting, patching and release management
  • Monitoring, alerting, backups and disaster recovery
  • Subscriptions, invoicing and customer management
  • Usage analytics and capacity planning
  • Support with agreed response times

03

Technology Consulting

Straight-talking advice on what to build, what to buy and what to stop paying for.

Sometimes the right answer is a smaller product. Sometimes it is the system you already run. We review what you have, explain the trade-offs in plain English, and hand you a decision you can defend to your board.

  • Technical due diligence on systems and suppliers
  • Architecture and code review
  • Build versus buy and vendor assessment
  • Roadmaps, estimates and sequencing
  • Hiring, team structure and process advice

02 / Software as a Service

We stay on the hook after launch

A subscription to software means somebody is accountable when it breaks. We host, monitor, patch and support the platforms we build, under agreed response times.

Monitored 24/7Backups testedAgreed SLAUsage analytics

Operated, not orphaned

Your platform runs on monitored infrastructure with backups that are tested, not just configured.

Updates included

Security patches, dependency updates and browser compatibility land on a predictable schedule.

Measured, not guessed

Uptime, latency and usage are instrumented from day one, so capacity and cost decisions are based on numbers.

Agreed support

Response times, escalation path and a named engineer who knows your system - written into the contract.

03 / How we work

A delivery process you can see

No black boxes. You know what happens next, what you are getting, and what it costs, at every stage of the engagement.

01

Discover

Two weeks of questions, existing code and context. We write down what you actually need, who uses it and what it has to achieve.

Written brief and success criteria

02

Design

Architecture, data model, security and integration points - explained so you can challenge it before a line of code is written.

Technical design and delivery plan

03

Build

Two-week sprints, working software at the end of every one. You see progress in your environment, not a slide about progress.

Shippable increments every two weeks

04

Run

We launch, monitor and improve. Support does not vanish at go-live, and the code and documentation are yours.

Live system, documentation and handover

Tools we trust

Boring technology, used well

We pick tools your team can hire for, support and maintain. No lock-in, no framework of the month.

  • TypeScript
  • React
  • Next.js
  • Node.js
  • Python
  • PostgreSQL
  • Redis
  • Docker
  • AWS
  • Terraform
  • GitHub Actions
  • Tailwind CSS
  • Playwright
  • Linux / Nginx
  • Stripe
  • Figma

04 / Engagements

Three ways to buy our time

Pick the shape that matches how sure you are. We will happily change it as the work proves what it needs.

Fixed scope

Fixed price

A defined deliverable, an agreed price and a committed date. Best when the requirement is settled and getting to market matters more than flexibility.

  • Agreed specification
  • Fixed price and date
  • Change requests quoted separately

Sprint

Two-week sprints

Work in fortnightly increments, reprioritised at the end of each one. Best when the plan needs to flex as you learn what the market wants.

  • Prioritised backlog
  • Demo every sprint
  • Rolling forecast

Retainer

Monthly block

A reserved block of engineering time each month. Best for teams that need steady delivery or ongoing care of a live product.

  • Reserved capacity
  • Roadmap and maintenance
  • Rolling priorities

05 / About

A software company built to be accountable

Namaa Group Ltd is a registered UK software company. We were set up to do the part of software work that is usually done badly: the part where somebody has to own the outcome long after the launch party ends.

We keep the team small and senior, we write things down, and we tell you when the sensible move is to do less. Most of our clients come back for the second project, which is the only review that has ever mattered to us.

06 / FAQ

Questions we get asked first

If your question is not here, ask it directly. We would rather answer it now than in a proposal.

What does Namaa Group actually do?+

Three things: we build custom software for organisations that have outgrown spreadsheets and off-the-shelf tools, we run software as a service on our own infrastructure, and we advise on technology strategy so you spend money on the right things.

Do you work with clients outside the UK?+

Yes. Namaa Group is UK-registered, which covers contracts, invoicing and data protection paperwork for UK clients, but we work remotely with clients in Europe, the Gulf and further afield. We overlap with your working day wherever possible.

How does a project start?+

A short call to understand the problem, then a paid discovery. You get a written brief, an estimate and a delivery plan. If it is not worth doing, we will say so.

Can you take over an existing codebase?+

Yes. We start with a technical review of what exists: what is sound, what is risky, what it would cost to rebuild versus repair. You get an honest assessment and a plan either way.

What happens after launch?+

You keep the code, the infrastructure documentation and the credentials. Thirty days of support are included, and we can move to a retainer or hand over to your own team with training.

Do you sign NDAs and data processing agreements?+

Yes. We sign mutual NDAs as standard and can put a data processing agreement in place before any of your data reaches our systems.
